Going to Jerusalem the end of April after Passover.
Have gotten good prices at Dan Boutique and Grand Court and cannot make up my mind between them.
Has anyone stayed at either? recommendation?
Thank you!

anxious to an answer to this as well. We are looking at Grand Court, Olive Tree and American Colony.
Hi When we were in Jerusalem last year we stayed at the Dan Panorama. Great location around the corner from King David Hotel and others. For descriptions of the hotels that travelmon13 seeks check Fodors Israel Guidebook. Be aware that the American Colony is in East Jerusalem were there have been violent disturbances recently. I was in Israel recently when the disturbances began and that part of Israel [Eilat] was peaceful.
THe "violent disturbances" were confined to a very small area in the Old City and did not affect events or tourists elsewhere in Jerusalem, even in the Jewish Quarter.
Travelmom13- We visited Israel in October and stayed 5 nights at the Olive Tree Hotel which is categorized by guide books as being in East Jerusalem. The media reported violence while we were there but we never saw any trouble and also felt very safe.
We enjoyed the hotel - nicely appointed rooms, friendly & helpful staff, very good food with pleasant waiters. This hotel does cater to tour groups if that makes a difference to you.
