Change of plans...we are heading to Tanzania & Rwanda!

Some of you probably recently saw my post regarding camp selection in Botswana for this March. After some additional thought and deliberation, we thought we would try something new (we went to Botswana this past May). So we are off to Tanzania and Rwanda! I really can't believe it, especially since we leave in less than 90 days. I'm just so excited, I had to share!

Here is our itinerary:
March 23 o/n Kigali Serena
March 24 o/n Silverback Lodge
March 25 Gorilla trek, o/n Silverback Lodge
March 26 Gorilla trek, o/n Kigali Serena
March 27 o/n Faru Faru
March 28 o/n Faru Faru
March 29 o/n Olakira
March 30 o/n Olakira
March 31 o/n Olakira
April 1 o/n Suyan
April 2 o/n Suyan
April 3 o/n Crater Lodge
April 4 o/n Crater Lodge
April 5 Depart

We are using Kiliwarriors. We are staying at some newer camps (Silverback Lodge, Faru Faru, and Suyan), which I noticed do not have very much feedback on the forums yet. I'll make sure to write a trip report when we get back!

This time of year will be during the long rains, so I'll be interested in seeing your trip report.

I'm aware that we are going during the rainy season, but we had extremely limited travel dates for next year. I'm a little nervous about the rain...but weather is only so predictable. I'd rather go during the rains, than not go at all!

We will be at Olakira and Suyan camps a week before you. I wouldn't worry about the rains as my research for the last two weeks of March, during the last four years shows little or no rainfall.

Oooh, how exciting! I'm sure you'll have great fun and quite an adventure. DH and I will hit the northern circuit only 10 days before you. Olakira and Suyan were camps that we, too, considered. They appealed to us a lot as well!

Best wishes to you
