Casablanca to Essaouira and Agadir
Planning a trip and trying to find the best route to get to the south of Morocco. Other than buses, any suggestions? Hoping to spend a couple nights in Essouira and then in the Agadir area, possibly Taroudant or Tafraoute. I know one option is to rent a car and drive ourselves but I would rather not drive myself.

Try the train (see http://seat61.com/Morocco.htm ). Are you doing anything in the north besides Casablanca? Because if not, just fly into Marrakech and skip Casa.

I meant take the train from Casa to Marrakech, but if you're not doing anything in the north except Casa, fly into Marrakech instead. In the south you already know the choices - bus (I took the bus to/from Essaouria and it was fine), rent a car, or hire a car and driver. Or take a grand (i.e. shared) taxi. See Lonely Planet or Rough Guide for bus routes and grand taxi costs.

You could take the train from Casablanca to Marrakech and then a taxi from Marrakech to Agadir. Or could use a bus directly to Agadir. And there is always the option of hiring a car with a driver if you like to have some freedom and go according to your own pace.
