Cape Town weather dependent activities
We will be visiting Cape Town for 5 nights at the end of June. Many of the activities we want to do say they are weather dependent, but also need to be booked in advance (Table Mountain cable car, Robben Island ferry, shark cage diving trip). Can anyone tell me the likelihood of those activities having to be rescheduled due to weather? We have a lot of things we want to do in our time there (and one day already set aside to do a Cape Point day trip), and I'm not sure how much flexibility we need in our schedule. For example, if we really want to arrange a township tour combined with a visit to Robben Island, but it is likely that the weather could be a problem and need to be rescheduled - then we would want to leave a day open later in the trip that the trip could be moved to if need be.

Hi Seattle Abby, will this be your first time in Cape Town? Regardless, it is a perfect number of days to enjoy the city and surrounding area at a relaxed pace.
The weather is unfortunately unpredictible at that time of year. Go to Table Mountain as soon as the weather is good (doesn't have to be sunny; the issues are the tablecloth cloud cover and high winds). Wind and choppy waters are also the issues with Robben Island. Cape Point and Cape of Good Hope are spectacular, but on a nice day.
Make a list of rainy day activities that interest you. Some suggestions include:
V&A Waterfront, for restaurants and shops
Old Biscuit Mill
Castle of Good Hope
District Six Museum
museums around Company's Gardens
Slave Lodge
shopping along Long and Bree Streets
Bo-Kaap
tea time at Mount Nelson Hotel
winery visit in Constantia
Hope this helps.
