Cape Town area: What is your favorite accommodation and WHY?

Jump to last reply

Do you have a favorite accommodation in the vicinity of Cape Town or nearby areas? Please share, and do tell why it's your favorite. Please explain the location of your favorite accommodation. It will be interesting to hear about your favorites, in all budget ranges, including luxury, moderate, and inexpensive choices. Our 1st trip will be in the spring (September).

I'm trying to choose an accommodation in the Cape Town area for a 6 or 7 night stay, to use as a "base" for exploring both Cape Town and the surrounding areas with our rental car. From Cape Town area, we can explore Cape Town, Cape Peninsula, the Cape Winelands, Hermanus & Whale coast, west coast wildflowers, etc.

I'm leaning towards choosing a guesthouse in the "Cape Bowl" area, but I'm open to hear your experiences & favorite accommodations. I have my eye on An African Villa and Boutique Manolo in the "Cape Bowl" area, but haven't made up my mind yet. We don't have any reservations yet.

Thanks for sharing!
