Camping Safari to Kenya & Tanzania
Im doing a 15 day Camping Safari to Kenya & Tanzania in a few weeks time.
As this is my first trip to Africa, I am trying to locate information about the things i need to pack, and if the do have any sort of washing facilities at the campsites, so i can wash some of my clothes.
Also what is the safety like. Cant seem to find info really anywhere.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Dear Grizza,
With a group camping becomes very much easier. There are designated areas for camping in the game parks as a matter of safety and game wardens keep an eye once you book-in in a campsite.
Every place we do camping, there is clean water for your personal use, so you don't need to worry about your clothes.
Along your personal effects, don't forget to carry mosquito repelants, good jungle boots and warm clothes as at this particular time of the year the weather is a bit cold and if you are going to camp in areas like Mount Kenya and Aberdares.
For more quick info, email us info@lexxassafaris and for more camping safaris packages visit www.lexxassafaris.com.
Enjoy our beautiful country.

Hi Tom,
Sorry to be so vague with my question, not really sure what to write.I dont know anyone apart from my sister who is on this tour. It is a samll group tour, which i believe there is about 15 people in the group. I have not been on a camping safari before and was hoping that someone might have been on one and could offer some advise as to what the camping grounds are like and about clothing.
Regards,
Tina

Why not list the tour details - there's camping and then there's camping! So where visiting, # of days at each park/reserve, type of camping, facilities (bathrooms/showers), # meals, game drives, participatory or guide/cook handle. Besides inclusions, the exclusions. Name of operator/company offering this. We can then better comment.
