We are planning a trip to Egypt and Jordan for next March/April. We want to spend one night sleeping in the desert and wonder which place you would recommend: Egypt's White Desert or Jordan's Wadi Rum?
Thanks for you help!

I've never done Wadi Rum, but have been in the White desert twice and love it. It's like waking up in the middle of a Salvador Dali painting in the middle of the night. Surreal!
Second Casual Cairo's comment. Would love to camp in the White Desert again. Haven't done Jordan's Wadi Rum. Hope someone has done both and can let us know which one was the favorite.
agree wholeheartedly with CC and Eve havent done Wadi Rum but the White Desert - f a b u l o u s
we will be there at the end of January 2011, for one night of camping in the White desert. How cold do u think it will be???
Cold enought for a GOOD sleeping bag and a heavy coat.

I've done both and as nice as the White Desert is generally considered, camping in Wadi Rum has everything over it.
Just returned from two nights in Wadi Rum ...expansive and transportive. Fabulous 2 1/2 days (but haven't been to White desert)
