Trip Report Camping in Matopos Park & safari game drive

We had a great time in Rhodes Matopo National park in Zimbabwe near Bulawayo. We arrived in Bulawayo time and wonder around the town thinking of what to do and with who?
On our second day, we visited the history museum and the art gallery which was a nice start.

The next day we were picked up by our Operator who had suggested that we should spend two nights camping in Matopos. After packing our food stuff, we headed to the park and set up our camp at Big Cave Camp site. The camp site was good with the great view of the sorrounding. After our lunch we visited the Rhodes grave site and the cave paintings. We found the place to really spectacular.
The sun set from the world view was brilliant.

We return to our camp late in the evening and there was fire place close to the bar with other travellers. The artmosphere was real romantic and adventurous. The dinner was served on the open with beautiful stars in the sky.
The next day we went to the game park where we saw both black rhino and white but after we did a safari walk with our operator. We did not see much of the game because of the recent bush fire and vegetation cover. All in all,we had a great romantic time in Rhodes Matopos national park. We would like to highly recommend "ThisAndThat Safaris to anybody who would need a great romantic safari in Matopo National Park.ThisAndThat Safaris were excellent and always alert to reason to our needs.
They can be found in Bulawayo town , edwardsimon23@gmail.com.
