Cairo in late January: will a warm coat be necessary?

I will be attending a meeting in Cairo at the end of the month (from Jan.27 through Feb.4), and I was wondering how cold it usually is there around this time of the year. Would I need to take a winter jacket?

I just returned from Cairo 10 days ago and it is very very cold at night, however, for daytime you just need a sweater.

I just got back from Cairo a week ago and it was very cold and very windy, which it feel colder than it was. Be sure to take a hat or scarf if you plan to be outside for any length of time.
