Hi
i've just found this link - GOOD project !
http://www.booksforafrica.org/
Since so many africans speak english it makes it so easy to promote their education.
I hope there's such an initiative in the French speaking countries for the other half of Africa
(i was ordering books on "Better World Books" and saw that my order benefits not only US libraries. AIDS action comitees
but also 'Books for Africa'... so searched what it is)
aby
P.S.
still IMO, nice to have volunteer organizations, but the governments of all those countries which exploited Africa for 300 years (Slave Trade, colonialism etc') should be financing African students in their Universities... It may give some hope for abetter future to Africa
Books for Africa good idea
