I just came back last week from Kenya and Tanzania. I went with Oversea Adventure Travel and thought they did a great job.
Spent one night in Nairobi before fling to the Maasai Mara. Before leaving Nairobi we visited an elephant orphanage on the outskirts of the city, a very fun and interesting visit.
We did several days of game drives in the Maasai Mara before flying to Arusha. We did game drives daily and visited Lake Burunge, Tarangire NP, Serengeti and Ngorogoro Crater. I too loved all of it. We also got to visit a Maasai village and interact with the people and we visited a school, which was a pretty humbling experience. Our tour operator sponsors the school we visited and we were the first official group to visit. We brought boxes of school supplies to the amazement of the teachers. This is a school that sometimes has to cancel class because they have no chalk.
In the Serengeti we stayed at a tented camp. You could hear lions and hyenas at night and we all had whistles beside our beds in case we had any 4 legged visitors. In Kenya a baboon tried to get in my tent.
It was a fabulous experience. Our last two nights we stayed at at the Farm Valley Lodge which is a beautiful resort built on an organic farm.
I can't think of a thing I would change about it. I do like Oversea Adventure Travel as they do give back to the community. Maybe other tour operators do the same thing, I don't know, but did enjoy the cultural experiences as well as seeing all the animals

Nairobi serves as a starting point, thereafter travel to lake Nakuru N. Park/Lake Naivasha & Crescent Lake. Maasai Mara 3 days would definitely be next where a balloon safari, as well as game drives and a visit to a maasai village would make it complete. Amboseli is also a great destination considering the view of Mt. Kilimanjaro and the very large herds of Elephants. The coast of Kenya is also a fun part of my Kenyan Itinerary.
For Tanzania, Arusha to start with, Serengeti N. Park, Ngorongoro crater and Lake Manyara are some of the best destinations to visit.
Happy travels!
