beach visit after safari

taking kids on safari next july for 11 days. was considering a beach trip after (tiwi beach at an all inclusive villa) but just discovered the high is 75 in mid july. that doesn't seem like much of an incentive to go in ocean or in pool...thoughts?

We did just this and had a lovely vacation at an all inclusive villa in Diani Beach after safari in Kenya and Tanzania. Have you checked the weather in Tanzania? May not be much different but perhaps worth a try. If it is a but warmer, you could consider Zanzibar.

Hi plambers!

Zanzibar won't be any warmer really so I certainly wouldn't go to any length to incur additional costs to get there.

Although July temp averages for Diani Beach say 75F, you could just as well have temps in the low 80s. Historical water temp averages for July are 25C or 77F. I'm not sure what level of warmth you are looking for, but I'm a New England gal and those temps look pretty good to me!

You certainly can't predict weather just like you can't predict the animals on safari. Follow your gut and "weather" you go to the beach or not (no pun intended!), treasure your time traveling with your children! Traveling is such a wonderful gift to experience as a family.

It's winter. Hit the beaches near home (where presumably it's summer). Spend your time in Kenya seeing wildlife!!
