baggage claim in Doha?

I have purchased a round trip ticket from United Airlines from IAD (Washington Dc, USA) to Doha with stops in EWR (New Jersey, USA) and FRA (Frankfurt, Germany). However, Doha is not my final destination and I have purchased a separate ticket from DOH to KTM(Kathmandu, which is my final destination) from Etihad Airways. Will my luggage be checked all the way to Kathmandu or would I need to transfer them myself in Doha? And if I transfer them myself, would I need to go through the immigration in Doha to collect my luggage and re-check it with Etihad Airways?

Thanks
