ashes and snow
By chance I came upon on line an an exhibit/museum that is in New York, but is traveling to LA (where it will be constructed on the Santa Monica Pier} and onwards. Anyway...it contains this fabulous work by Gregory Colbert titled, ASHES AND SNOW...which is easiest to find by Google "ashes and snow portfolio". The elephants, cats, birds and whales are not from Africa but I hope you can find time to enjoy these photos...I'd really like to know what other Fodorites think of these. I don't wan't to say much because I got such pleasure finding the unexpected.
AND if anyone has an idea how he achieved the wonderful colors of his photographs I would love to read about it.

We have tickets for Feb. 5th in LA. I can't wait. We came across his photos in a magazine and were so impressed we googled him. THen I heard that that the exhibit was coming to LA so I checked back every month to see when tickets went on sale.
