HI:
I was wondering if anyone could share some information on Arusha National Park. I'm arriving a day early and thought I would take a day trip to the Park. I have found information but it is very basic and I would like to know more about what to expect, where to go, what to miss, what not to miss.
So any info would be greatly appreciated. I also have to thank all of you. I don't normally post but I'm addicted to this board (especially since my first safari is coming up in a few months.) You have all given me so much information and I just wanted to say it is greatly appreciated. I only hope my trip is as great as the reports I read or the pictures I look at.

Trip Report - Honeymoon Safari in Tanzania - End of July/August 2012

Hi Nelle
We too had a free day prior to our main safari. We organized a private day trip with our tour company, took a lunch box,and the two of us with our driver-guide headed out. What a great way to get introduced to the flora, fauna, and landscapes of East Africa! It was like a mini tour of the great parks you will see on your trip-Highlights included our first giraffe encounter, black and white colobus monkeys, pink flamingos, just to name a few.We also organized a canoe safari that same afternoon with Green Footprint Adventures who met our vehicle at a specified time at the Momella lakes, where we canoed and saw some hippoes close to the canoe.
By all means, see if you can get to ANP !
