Anyone been or know the banyan tree

We booked at the banyan tree for late july.
as the sea is kind of rough, Id like to know if there are any trasportation means from banyan to other islands and beaches that are flater.
Also how long is the banya from the main city?, is it possible to rent a boat there to take us to other islands?
