Almost Time - Botswana and Zimbabwe

Jump to last reply

After almost a year of planning and research, I leave for Southern Africa 4 weeks from today. It is hard to believe that it's almost here and the excitement is building. Thanks again to all on this forum who helped with suggestions and comments as I went through this process. Itenary is as follows:

Leave Orlando 8/22, United to Dulles, then South African Airways to Johannesburg.
8/23 Overnight in Johnannesburg at Sun Intercontinental
8/24 Air Botswana to Maun, transfer to Chitabe Lediba
8/24 - 8/28 - Chitabe Lediba, Okavango Delta, Botswana
8/28 - 8/30 - Little Vumbura, Okavango Delta, Botswana
8/30 - 9/2 - Savuti Camp, Linyanti Reserve, Botswana
9/2 - 9/4 - Ilala Lodge, Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe
9/4 - 9/7 - Little Makalolo, Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe
9/7 - 9/11 - Ruckomechi, Mana Pools National Park
9/11 - Return, South African Airways/United

I promise to do better with my trip report and pictures. Last trip to Kenya and Tanzania took over a year to get posted (and then it was slightly incomplete). If this trip even comes close to my first trip to Africa, I know that it will be a wonderful experience - another trip of a lifetime. More to come on my return. Thanks again to everyone for their help and advice.
