So, in late March around 20th or so I subscribed to the Africa Geographic Magazine + ordered a few things from their online shops ( a wild dog dvd being the high point of my shopping.). Its gonna be 2 months in a week and I have yet to receive ANYTHING. Half the emails I write are answered by we are chasing it up and will revert and then nada. They say the dispatch was on 25th March. I live in HK. Should I be concerned and ask for a cancellation?

Thats one part of the story. What I have really been looking forward to is the magazine slated to start this month for me. Again nada. So thought would check with you guys, especially those staying in Asia or Oz if you have received your May copy? Just want to understand if such delays are usual or a matter of concern.

I did receive a very nice coffee table standard "Africa in Style : South Africa" book today from them.

I do not know what to do with it.

Just received it this week monday, together with Africa Birds & Birding. Am in Belgium.

Sometimes it comes a bit late. Over the years, I had one issue that never came, even when I reordered it.

I'm switching to the digital version in the future. Mainly to save closet space.

I have had continual problems (issues not showing up) with my subscription to Africa Birds & Birding and have received excellent customer service from Wiedaad Ariefdien [email protected] . She is the customer service supervisor. Several times she has sent me replacement copies. But in the end MOST of the original copies do arrive, eventually. It takes almost two months for them to reach the USA.

So I would suggest emailing Wiedaad as she has been most helpful.

As for the digital issues, I have looked at them but its just not the same as having the magazine in hand. Additionally, since they are really not set up as digital magazines for reading ease they are quite hard to read on screen. Its really just a PDF reader and best to print out the pages you want to read.

JC, thats very helpful, thanks a lot! The person I am communicating with- it has been on and off but she usually ends up the sporadic communication with such a sweet email that I end up giving her the benefit of the doubt again. Have been promised today the Mag comes by end of the week.

I have not received my April or May editions yet and have been a subscriber for 3 years. March edition arrived in late Feb and Feb edition in March. Have emailed website but will try the email you suggest.

Just wanted to mention that for 2 straight months my copy has arrived in the 1st week of the month to which the cover page references. With the August issue arriving today.

Figured since I moaned here earlier, I should acknowledge the timely delivery as well.

AG - Please keep this up!
