8 days and need car/driver

Hi Fellow Travelers,
I'm planning a trip to Morocco in mid April.
We thought we would do the following:

Day 1 Arrive Marrakech
Day 2 Marrakech
Day 3: Marrakech – Ait Ben haddou – Dades Gorge (Five Hours Drive)
Day 4: Casablanca/Rabat (Three Hours Drive)
Day 4: Fes (two and a half hours drive)
Day 5: Fes
Day 6: Chefchaouen (four hours drive)
Day 7: Tangiers
Day 8: Cross over to Spain

We would like a car and driver. Any recommendations?
We realize this misses the Sahara and eastern parts but the time driving seems too much for a short trip.

Sallam 'lekum KSC2003,
I see your plans have a changed slightly and well done on continuing your planning/research. However, I think you've looked at a different map ...Casablanca/Rabat are definitely not a 3-hour drive from the Dadès Gorge (Day 3). With the days you have available, perhaps you meant your itinerary to read:
Day 1: Arrive Marrakech
Day 2: Marrakech
Day 3: Casablanca/Rabat
Day 4: Fès
Day 5: Fès
Day 6: Chefchaouen
Day 7: Tangiers
Day 8: Cross over to Spain

Even this itinerary is rushed but at least it follows a logical route whereas heading over the Atlas to Aït ben Haddou and the Dadès Gorge followed by backtracking through the mountains towards Casa/Rabat does not.

Hope this helps?

Hi Darren,
thank you so much. very helpful...mis-numbered my days.
can I take a side trip from Marrakech to Ait Ben haddou and back to Marrakech in a day? we know we can't really fit in a trip to the eastern side or Sahara but thought a long day out towards the gorge might be doable...KSC

I would skip Ait ben Haddou and take the train from Marrakech to Rabat. Have a look around Rabat, then take the train to Fes and from there the train to Tangiers.

Hi KSC2003,
I think you'll have to choose between visiting Aït ben Haddou or Chefchaouen. The knowledgeable Bedar makes a good suggestion, in that you could travel solely by train from Marrakech - Rabat - Fès - Tangier, and then choose between a (long) day visit to Aït ben Haddou from Marrakech, or a (also long) day visit to Chefchaouen from Tangier.
Regards,
Darren

We used the service of Essaourira Taxi in 2013 and the driver assigned was wonderful. You may contact them at [email protected] or check it out at https://essaouirataxi.com/index.php?lang=en.

We used Your Morocco Tour in September and were very pleased with our English speaking driver Abdul. They also booked our Riads.
