4 DAYS IN MOROCCO- AGADIR OR ESSAOUIRA??
we are going to Morocco for 10 days in january . we've booked a hotel for the first 6 nights in marrakech and are leaving the last 4 open for adventure. we are flying in and out of marrakech.
any advice on what to do with those last 4 days, for that time of year? we'd like to go to the beach. agadir or essaouira?
also- is 6 nights in marrakech too much? will we have enough to do, or should we plan day trips out of the city? suggestions on day trips would be helpful also.
thanks for any help!

No question, Essaouira. Agadir caters to package tours and the old medina was destroyed in an earthquake (1960, I believe). If you want to lie on a beach, it's fine, but if you also want loads of atmosphere go to Essaouira. The beach there can be windy though.
Having returned to Marrakech many times, I don't think 6 nights is anywhere near too much. Both Marrakech & Essaouira are great places wander and generally hang out. Marrakech also has enough sights to keep you busy. Definitely have a guidebook for the city.
