I am traveling to Ghana for a volunteer trip in early January 2010. Prior to volunteering, I have 3 days to explore the country. What are your best recommendations for where to go and what to do? I will be flying into Accra, but am definitely interested in a day trip or two. My interests would be natural explorations or cultural experiences. Thanks in advance!

Cape Coast is a good area. Visit the port, the castle, the churches on the hills. We also went up North to the Wli falls (highest watefall in West Africa). There is a nice lodge nearby. This is really off the beaten path.
