Trip Report 16 Days in South Africa (Victoria Falls, Zimbawe & Botswana)

My husband and I just returned from a wonderful trip to South Africa, Swaziland, Zimbawe & Botswana. We usually travel independently and prefer to plan our own trips and locations. However, we joined a Gate 1 tour which included all our hotels, flights, game drives, sightseeing, tour guides and many of the meals. The hotels and lodges were in great locations that offered us easy access to activities, shopping and dining.

The itinerary, sightseeing by tour guides, game viewing both by cruise and land offered us a remarkable view into the wildlife of Africa. We viewed all the "Big Five" and had experienced guides which showed us both Kruger Park & Chobe National Park. Our tour manager, Charl, was knowledgeable, friendly and always available to offer suggestions or guidance.

The people of South Africa were friendly and kind. We really did not know what to expect from visiting Africa and were pleasantly surprised. Everything was terrific and the sights were certainly incredible. We were lucky with the weather and viewing opportunities that were offered to us. Jerry & I are looking forward to making another trip to Africa to see the migration of the animals.
